I totally forgot to reply to you the other about the same question. The car scene is very huge in Pakistan even though we do not have any tracks. Over the last of couple of years, quite many Go-karts tracks have opened up around the country.
Almost every person you'll meet here in Pakistan is car enthusiast. Although even females mostly drive stick over here but they aren't car enthusiasts as such, everyone likes a good car though.
The vintage, 4x4, Japanese, hot hatch, bikers (heavy, sport, 70cc bikes) everybody is here but unfortunately, cars are not cheap here and despite that, people find they're favorite cars through exploiting various loopholes in the system.
Sadly though, Pakistan is overshadowed by terrorism and its associations. There is such a huge market, all of it is enthusiast market. People like, enjoy and have deep consciousness about their cars.
RX7 and RX8s are pretty big though, because rotary is just under 1300cc and therefore, the duty and taxes are low and its cheap. Each weekend, there's one place here where enthusiasts (idiots included) gather up and have nice evening chat.

oh my gosh that sounds fun! The terrorism thing is really unfortunate though. I have family who recently visited Pakistan in the summer. I've never been though, but my mom's from Karachi and has only been able to go once since coming to America 30 years ago, so it's likely the next time she goes I might be going as well.
What city was this in particularly?
